As part of Scotland’s International Poetry Festival, Stanza, this event marks 100 years of Geroge Mackay Brown’s work. The event will include readings and performances from Jim Mackintosh, John Glenday, Andy Jackson, Gerda Stevenson, Beth McDonough, Marcus Mac an Tuairneir, Julie McNeill, and Morag Anderson.

“A celebration of the centenary of Orkney poet George Mackay Brown, this afternoon’s event will feature poetry inspired by his writing from Beth McDonough, Marcus Mac an Tuairneir, John Glenday, Julie McNeill, Andy Jackson and Morag Anderson, hosted by poet Jim Mackintosh. The event will also feature the short film The Storm Watchers, commissioned by the 2021 St Magnus Festival and directed by Gerda Stevenson, who will provide a short introduction.”
