Tribes of Glasgow with Stephen Millar and Alan McCredie

  • Blackwell's Bookshop Edinburgh 53-62 South Bridge Edinburgh, Scotland, EH1 1YS United Kingdom (map)

Blackwell’s South Bridge host the launch of Tribes of Glasgow by Stephen Millar and Alan McCredie.

Finding himself faced with a feeling of disconnect from his city of birth, Stephen Millar set out on a mission to capture the heart and essence of Glasgow, engaging with the patchwork of ‘tribes’ which make up the fabric of the city. Meeting with members of a remarkable variety of clubs and sub-cultures – including cosplayers, gunslingers, LGBT boxers and more – Stephen Millar and Alan McCredie bring their stories to life through a blend of portrait and candid photography.

Admission to this event is free and all are welcome. Please book your free ticket at the Eventbrite page.

STEPHEN MILLAR is the author of the London’s Hidden Walks series. He has written and provided photographs for a number of books and magazines, including the Independent on Sunday.

ALAN McCREDIE has been a freelance photographer for 10 years, working with most major agencies in Scotland and beyond. He has specialised in theatre and television but is perhaps best known for his documentary and travel photography. A member of Documenting Britain photo collective, he is a Perthshire man lost to Leith.
