StAnza 2019: Border Crossings - Angus Peter Campbell and Shara Lessley

This Friday morning reading brings together two award-winning poets whose powers of language and scope of experience create memorable and impactful poetry. Aonghas Pàdraig Caimbeul (Angus Peter Campbell) is an award-winning poet, novelist, journalist and actor. His poetry collection Aibisidh won the Scottish Poetry Book of the Year Award in 2011 and his most recent poetry collection, Stèisean, appeared with Luath Press in 2018. He will be reading alongside Shara Lessley, the author of The Explosive Expert’s Wife and Two-Headed Nightingale. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow in poetry at Stanford University, her awards include a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship. She was the inaugural Anne Spencer poet in residence at Randolph College and currently serves as assistant poetry editor for Acre Books.
