The North West Highlands: Road to the Isles – Day 3 of Where Am I Week!

We spent some time  touring the Highlands earlier this month, and managed to get some great pictures on our travels, so over the course of the next week we have decided to hold a series of competitions over on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Each day we will be giving our followers the chance to win a book if they correctly guess where the image was taken. The specific rules vary slightly for Facebook and Twitter, so I have included details at the bottom of this post.

Day 3 Competition – The North West Highlands: Road to the Isles!

Today we are offering a copy of The North West Highlands: Road to the Isles by Tom Atkinson. The lucky winner will also receive a voucher for 50% off books bought on the Luath website when they spend over £20.

This title deals with the vast and lovely area lying to the north and west of Fort William, and going up through the Highlands as far as Ullapool.

Tom Atkinson founded Luath Press in Barr, Ayrshire. Tom has written extensively on his love of the Scottish landscape in our Luath Guides to Scotland series. He continues to write for Luath Press; most recently in Napiers History of Herbal Healing, the story of the successful Edinburgh-based herbalists, and the untold story of the RAF Servicing Commandos in Spectacles, Testicles, Fags and Matches

The North West Highlands competition will be running from the afternoon of Wednesday 8th August, through to Thursday 9th at 2PM, so make sure you keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter streams to see what image you have to identify the location of! We also plan to post further information about all the locations used over here on the blog once each of the winners have been announced!
