Christie Williamson has written poetry for most of his conscious life – wandering the banks of Yell as a child, during his study hour at the Janet Courtney Hostel and as a Media (then Investments) student at the University of Stirling. The poems in this collection began appearing in 2003, and pay the big and the small questions in life their due. When performing as Federico Garcia Lorca in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2006, he was invited to create Shetlandic versions of some Lorca poems. These were successful, and resulted in his first publication – the pamphlet Arc o Möns from Hansel Co-operative Press, which won the Calum MacDonald Memorial Award 2010.
