Ben Collins

Ben Collins is a Northern Irish communications consultant. He comes from a pro-British/unionist background, with 20 years’ experience in political communications and a degree in Law. He worked as a press officer for the Northern Ireland Office at the time of the St Andrews negotiations. He is a former Unionist and Conservative Party member, who later joined the Liberal Democrats and Alliance party of Northern Ireland. He is no longer a member of any political party.

For two decades he lived and worked across the UK, and now lives in Belfast, working across the island of Ireland. His views on Irish Unity have changed over many years: he now believes that, particularly due to Brexit, there should be a united Ireland.
