David Hume was one of the most influential minds of the Scottish Enlightenment, with his writing on history, politics and philosophy shaping thought to this day. David Purdie clarifies some of Hume’s most challenging texts in his new book David Hume on God with Peter Fosl, David Hume on God, and explore Hume’s writings on religious affairs, a subject of central importance to him, for a modern audience.
