As part of their summer exhibition celebrating the women of Caithness, Lyth Arts Centre welcome Gerda Stevenson, reading from Quines: Poems in tribute to women of Scotland, her new poetry collection exploring remarkable women from Scottish history.
Gerda is a writer (The Apple Tree, Federer versus Murray), BAFTA award winning film-actor (Blue Black Permanent, Braveheart), and singer/songwriter. This unique collection is a new landmark in Scottish women's writing from a renowned poet and performer. With an exclusive writing workshop followed by an evening of readings from a flawless writer and performer, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The writing workshop with Gerda will be at 2-4pm, and is open to anyone interested in writing and/or poetry.
