At the heart of the Scottish diaspora lie stories of human adventure, achievement and adversity, narratives which are best expressed in the participants' own words. Join Professor Marjory Harper as she explores the motives and experiences of migrants, settlers and returners by focusing on the personal testimony of a handful of the two million men, women and children who left Scotland in the twentieth century.
Book signing from 4pm.
Tickets for this event are free, but booking is required. Please visit https://www.abdn.ac.uk/mayfestival/events/13004/
