Festival of Politics 2018: Freedom to Offend

  • The Scottish Parliament Horse Wynd Edinburgh EH99 1SP (map)

In partnership with Battle of Ideas

Free speech was once an unquestionable virtue but now it is explicitly queried. With universities potentially fined if they don’t allow freedom of speech on campus, how do we navigate this right with that of the freedom to offend? Join our chair Claire Fox, Battle of Ideas, and panellists including Dr Joanna Williams academic and author; Nik Williams, Scottish PEN; and writer and commentator Gerry Hassan.

Tickets are £6/£4 and are available from the Festival of Politics booking page.
