What is Burns Night?

On 25 January every year, nine million people all over the world commemorate the life and work of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns, to mark the anniversary of his birthday. At these events, a Scottish meal is eaten and traditional toasts are made, including an address to the haggis. See the running order of a traditional Burns Night here.
