New faces and old friends return to Eisdalsa. Elizabeth Duncan, new assistant teacher at the Eisdalsa school, arrives with a crash on board the Lord of the Lorn. Dr David Beaton returns to face old demons just as newly appointed quarry engineer, William Whylie, and the handsome First Officer Gordon McIntyre start their lives on the island. All three men fall for Elizabeth, but faced with village gossips and a bullying colleague she can only think about how to cope in this small island community? ""Beacon on the Shore"" is the first book in the successful Eisdalsa series, previously published by Hodder Headline. This series is a favourite with saga readers, who are able to share in the joy and heartache of the inhabitants of this remote Scottish island. This new edition, published to coincide with the release of the newest book in the series ""Free For All"", will bring a popular novel back in print.
