• Luath Press are a growing Edinburgh based book publishing company with strong Scottish connections.
• What is Luath's publishing policy?
• We are committed to publishing well written books worth reading. Most of our books have a Scottish connection, but we are always looking out for new and innovative books and authors, whatever the background.

Readers

• Can I browse and buy Luath books from my local bookshop?
• Luath books are available from most booksellers in the UK, and many in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere - if you can't find a book in your local bookshop, ask a member of staff to order it for you.
• How do I order Luath Press books direct from Luath?
• You can order online using our secure website. Find the books you are looking for and click on the 'add to cart button'. Your 'shopping cart' will be displayed briefly, then you will be returned to the catalogue. When you have made all your choices, click on 'Checkout' at the top of the page and fill in your delivery and payment options to complete your purchase. • How much does post and packing cost?
• Shipping in the UK is by Royal Mail or courier, depending on the cost and weight on the order, and we charge a contribution of just £1 to P&P per delivery address. Overseas postage is £3.50 airmail for the first book, plus £1 for each additional book.
• Which credit cards can Luath accept?
• We accept credit card payments using Visa and Mastercard. You can also pay with Paypal by using other debit cards such as Switch or Maestro.

Writers

• I've written, or am writing, a book that could fit with Luath's publishing programme - do you have submission guidelines?
• Please firstly take a look at our current publishing programme. If you think that your book will fit into our publishing programme, please send:
  • Your manuscript, synopsis or sample chapters
  • A short biography about yourself
  • A pre-paid envelope for returns
  • Anything else of relevance

• Do not send original copies or artwork. Luath Press cannot take responsibilty for any items sent to us.
• Please note that we cannot accept electronic submissions.
• Will you return manuscripts?
• We will only return unsolicited manuscripts if you provide a pre-paid envelope.
• How long will it take?
• Response times vary greatly. If you haven't heard from us within 12 months and would like your manuscript returned or recycled, do get in touch by email first and we will attempt to reply in a reasonable amount of time.
• Luath Press does not enter into discussions about the relative merits or otherwise of rejected manuscripts.

• How do I order Luath books?
• Our books can be ordered direct from our distributor HarperCollins. We also supply to wholesalers such as Bertrams, Bookspeed, Cordee, Gardners, Lomond Books and Nicolson Maps. Alternatively, please phone, e-mail or fax to discuss your requirements.
