LIN ANDERSON
LIN
ANDERSON was born in Greenock of Scottish and Irish parents.
A graduate of both Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities, she
has lived in many different parts of Scotland and also spent
five years working in the African bush. A teacher of Mathematics
and Computing, she began her writing career four years ago.
Her first film, Small Love, which was broadcast on STV, was
nominated for TAPS writer of the year award 2001. Her African
short stories have been published in the 10th Anniversary Macallan
collection and broadcast on BBC Radio Four.
Her first novel for Luath Press was Driftnet,
introducing forensic scientist Rhona MacLeod. Rhona returned
in the second novel from Lin, Torch
- a cat-and-mouse chase for an arsonist in Edinburgh.
The third novel in this popular crime series, the grisly
transatlantic mystery
Deadly Code, follows Rhona as she continues her
investigations. Linda's next three novels are due to be
published by Hodder and Stoughton. |
LIN'S BOOKS
Driftnet
A young rent boy is found strangled and mutilated in
a Glasgow flat. Leaving her warm bed and lover in the middle of the night to take forensic samples
from the body, Rhona MacLeod immediately recognises the likeness between herself
and the dead boy and is horrified to think that he might be the son she gave
up for adoption sixteen years before. |
Torch
When a young homeless girl dies in
an arson attack on an empty building on Edinburgh's famous
Princes Street, forensic scientist Rhona MacLeod is called
in to help find the arsonist. |

Deadly Code
A severed foot is discovered
floating in the waters off the Isle of Skye, and forensic
scientist Rhona MacLeod is called upon to investigate.
Before she can solve this mystery, Rhona is called away to
lecture in America, where she finds herself the target of a
controversial - and secret - American science
organisation... |
